Conor McGregor booed off court and knocks out Heat mascot in NBA Finals

Conor McGregor’s NBA Finals appearance didn’t go well for him or the Heat’s mascot.




The former two-division UFC champion was at Game 4 between the Heat and Nuggets at Kaseya Center on Friday night to announce during an on-court interview during a timeout that his TIDL Sport body spray is now a sponsor. Miami franchise official.

But once McGregor, dressed in a red velvet tracksuit, took the mic – with Miami down 10 – he was booed off the field by the Heat faithful despite saying it was his first time at an NBA game.

McGregor, 34, was then approached by Heat mascot Bernie – who was wearing gold boxing gloves and was clearly looking for a fight.

After a moment of sizing himself up, McGregor unleashed a vicious left hook to the head, stripping Bernie’s hat and knocking him to the ground.

He drew a gasp from the crowd and more boos.

The Irish star then landed a knockout punch to the mascot’s face for good measure, then sprayed Bernie with TIDL as he was taken off the pitch by his legs.

The Heat, only the second No. 8 seed to reach the Finals, ended up losing the game 108-95 and now trail the Nuggets 3-1 in returning to Denver for a potentially title-clinching game. 5 Monday evening.

McGregor, who hasn’t fought since breaking his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, is set to face Michael Chandler for his comeback fight later this year.
