Brittney Griner developed a strong polarizing personality during her year-long detention in Russia, and many people used her to further their political goals.
One such individual bothered superstar Phoenix Mercury at Dallas airport on Saturday.
The WNBA team for Griner released an official statement on the event.

Alex Stein, the actor in the video, has since shared it on social media.
He tweeted, “Here’s a bit of my meeting with Brittney Griner today…since the @WNBA writes press releases about me.

In the footage, Griner is seen walking through the airport with his Mercury teammates as Stein yells at him.
He shouted, “Hey Brit, do you still want to boycott America?”
Stein was taken from the scene by Griner security as he persisted with his investigations into the controversial prisoner swap that freed the WNBA player.
Since returning to the United States in December, Griner has had plenty of support. Unfortunately, there will always be others who take advantage of his situation to further their own ideologies and political goals.
