Darren Edgecomb Mug Shot: Central Palm Beach Principle Arrested and Charged?
There is no evidence that Darren Edgecomb, the principal of Palm Beach Central High School, was ever arrested or charged. Thus, there is no ID photo of the principal.
However, in 2022, the principal was disciplined by the state Department of Education for changing the grades of several students without the knowledge of their teachers.
They reportedly raised the grades of at least 11 students in 2019. Their actions were discovered after an investigation by the school district’s inspector general.
According to the report, the state allows grades to be changed following report cards, but only in limited situations.
With the consent of the Regional Superintendent, the principal may change a student’s grade without teacher intervention, or a teacher may request the grade change and provide a rationale.
However, investigations revealed that the administration of Edgecomb did not include any teachers or district leaders.
Years after the scandal, the principal and vice principal accepted probation with the state Department of Education in October 2022.
Greenberg reportedly said in their report that he “changed the student’s grades because there were additional factors where teachers were targeting students.”
He added, “Teachers unfairly graded students’ performance in class or did not accept student’s class work.”
Edgecomb and Greenberg reached a settlement with the Florida Department of Education in 2022, which included consequences that particularly hurt Greenberg.
Neither Edgecomb nor Greenberg admit or deny the charges as part of the deal. Additionally, Greenber’s educator license was suspended for a year as he initiated the class change at the time.
Darren Edgecomb punished for getting pregnant

According to a May 2016 report by the Palm Beach Post, a local Florida newspaper, the US Department of Education accused Darrent Edgecomb of discrimination.
He allegedly carried out discriminatory actions while working at Turning Point Academy as a principal.
Darren allegedly punished an assistant principal, Anne Williams Dorsey, who was on maternity leave in 2011 by cutting her salary and demoting her.
Anne then filed a federal lawsuit against him. She claimed to have been replaced by a male administrator whom she had trained and who had less experience.
Dorsey said she was notified of her demotion by Edgecomb as she was about to give birth to twins in a hospital.
According to the Justice Department, Edgecomb’s actions violated federal civil rights laws because they constituted gender discrimination.
In their complaint, federal government officials asked that a judge order the county’s public education system to “implement appropriate and effective measures to prevent such actions.”
