Larry Millete has been charged with the murder of his wife, Maya Millete, who disappeared over two years ago.
Maya Millete, 39, a mother of three and civilian employee of the US Navy, was last seen on January 7, 2021 in Chula Vista, California.
Her partner, Larry, was taken into custody in October of the same year. In the begging, Larry provided the public and the police with various theories as to where his wife might have gone.

Larry Millete is still awaiting trial for the murder of his wife, Maya Millete.
His body has not yet been found. As mentioned above, Larry was arrested in October 2021. His trial was halted due to his mental health issue in 2022.
The missing woman’s spouse has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and possession of an assault weapon. He was denied bail and telephone privileges to contact his children.

Maya’s sister, Maricris Drouaillet, reported her missing on January 9. Family and friends flyers printed and distributed the news of his disappearance. Maya’s family have since wanted her safe return.
Former criminal defense investigator and attorney Billy Little wanted to help and went to the Millete home on January 11, 2021 to find clues. The attorney said Larry didn’t seem concerned about Maya’s disappearance.
However, Larry expressed his hope in interviews and asked his wife to come home.

Two weeks after the woman disappeared, the Chula Vista Police Department issued a search warrant for the Millete home.
Authorities aimed to uncover evidence that would lead to finding Maya. They seized firearms from the house. It’s been over two years. But there is no trace of Maya.
On February 5, 2021, the CVPD and Maya’s family held a press conference asking for help in finding her. Additionally, they have published bi-weekly updates on their research and research activities.
Mount San Miguel Park, where Maya liked to hike, and huge desert areas east of Chula Vista, near the Arizona border, were among the many places the CVPD looked at.
They deployed dogs, helicopters and drones to help with the search.
Many of Maya’s searches were also organized by family, friends, colleagues and volunteers at different locations.
Despite extensive searches, there is no sign of Maya Millete or her body. The police and her relatives believe she is dead.
