2 people killed including 1 by the police following domestic disturbances

ILLINOIS, USA – Following a domestic disturbance report made Saturday at Harvard, the McHenry County coroner has identified the two slain people, one of whom was killed by police. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Dewey Street around 11:36 p.m., police say, where they discovered 33-year-old Daniel Alvarado-Aguilar, who was allegedly holding a knife to the head of a female victim. A policeman reportedly shot him because he refused to drop the knife after being ordered to.

The woman, whose identity was released as Elizabeth Alvarado-Garcia and who was 24, was pronounced dead while being transported to Harvard Mercy Hospital. An Illinois man is being held without bond on suspicion of murdering his estranged wife. Timothy Bliefnick, 39, was taken into custody by police Monday, more than two weeks after his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Bliefnick, 41, was found dead of a gunshot wound on February 23 at their home in Quincy, Illinois.

One of Rebecca Bliefnick’s closest friends, Bobbie Taute-Howe, who still can’t believe her friend is dead, is buoyed by the news of the suspect’s arrest. She tearfully said, “I still think I’ll wake up tomorrow to a text,” which was very emotional for her. “I feel like it was done out of resentment and jealousy.”
