MINNEAPOLIS — After a successful season, WNBA team the Minnesota Lynx have signed Keishana Washington to a training camp contract with the option of joining the team.

Washington joins Gabriela Marginean, who played four games with the Minnesota Lynx in 2010, as a Drexel product who signed with a WNBA team. Washington was the first player in program history to be named an All-American by the Western Basketball Coaches Association. He also received All-America recognition from the Associated Press and the US Basketball Writers Association. She averaged 27.7 points per game and finished third in Division I with 858 points, earning her the CAA Player of the Year award. She scored 302 points, good for fourth place, and converted 197 free throws, good for sixth. She scored a career-high 43 points against Fordham in the WNIT, making her one of only two players this season to record four games with 40 or more points. Only Caitlin Clark of Iowa, who scored 40 points twice in the NCAA Tournament, came close to matching that performance.
She scored 858 points that season, which ranks second in CAA history, and she scored 27.7 points per game and 302 field goals. The Canadian native of Pickering finished his career with 2,363 points. She ranks second on Drexel’s all-time scoring list, fourth on the CAA list and sixth on the City 6 list. She is also the all-time leading Canadian scorer in NCAA history.
