Basketball: Keishana Washington signs with Minnesota Lynx

MINNEAPOLIS — After a successful season, WNBA team the Minnesota Lynx have signed Keishana Washington to a training camp contract with the option of joining the team.
“I want to thank the Minnesota Lynx for giving me the opportunity to play at the highest level,” Washington said. I can’t wait to get to work and choose the brains of some of the best in the business.

Washington joins Gabriela Marginean, who played four games with the Minnesota Lynx in 2010, as a Drexel product who signed with a WNBA team. Everyone in our program, in our department and in our agency is very happy with Kei. Coach Amy Mallon said, “She has truly been a gift to Drexel basketball, and this achievement is a tribute to her hard work on and off the court. His development as a leader and his story of success will motivate not only his current Drexel teammates, but also our future athletes. Another important milestone on the road to success for Kei and our program was taken today. I look forward to seeing her serve as an inspiration to young athletes around the world.
