Christopher Hugh Moran Death – Law enforcement is investigating the death of a 32-year-old man in a fatal pedestrian accident on Friday morning. Police say Christopher Hugh Moran died after being struck by two vehicles on southbound I-15 as he attempted to cross the road. According to Nevada State Police, the incident happened around 5 a.m. heading southbound on I-15, south of Flamingo.




On Friday morning, a fatal accident occurred on a Las Vegas highway. Nevada State Police are investigating what happened. Nevada State Police said around 5 a.m. Friday, police attended to an accident where a pedestrian may have been hit while crossing the street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered an adult male was crossing from west to east on the south side when he was struck by a semi-trailer truck and a passenger car. Nevada State Police said a civilian stopped to provide assistance until medical personnel arrived. But the man died of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office said the walker was 32-year-old Christopher Hugh Moran. Last Friday, the reason and circumstances of his death were still unknown. Police say southbound I-15 is permanently closed and traffic is being rerouted to Flamingo while the investigation continues. There was no more information available right away.

The driver of a city of Rochester snowplow who struck and killed a pedestrian on Feb. 24 will not face any criminal charges as a result of the incident. According to the city, they were informed by the Minnesota State Patrol that they would not be pressing charges against the driver in question. In February this year Linda Rud, a 69-year-old Rochester resident, was beaten and murdered while walking alone on Pinewood Road SE.

In February, state patrol officials confirmed that the plow was moving in reverse at the time. The snowplow was subjected to a commercial vehicle check by the State Patrol. The City employee involved in the incident was placed on paid administrative leave after the event. In addition, support services have been made available to each City teammate.
