Unfortunately, the two occupants of the BMW, the driver and the passenger, both 18-year-old women, lost their lives at the scene of the accident.
The adult driver of the Lexus later succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
However, the adult male passenger in the Lexus survived the collision but sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
