Is Luca Marini linked to Valentino Rossi? Brothers and family
Yes. Luca Marini is the maternal half-brother of the nine-time motorcycle Grand Prix world champion Valentino Rossi.
Valentino and Luca may not have the same last name, but it’s a well-established fact that they’re brothers.
Rossi was eighteen when his mother gave birth to Marini on August 10, 1997. At the time, the 44-year-old was weeks away from winning his first Grand Prix World Championship title.
Rossi rose to fame due to his extraordinary achievements on the way to the point where he couldn’t leave his Milan home without being mobbed by his fans. Eventually, the legendary runner left his home country and moved to London in 2000.
Rossi returned home in the late 2000s and lived with his mother and younger brother, Luca. In an interview with ESPN, Marini said that Rossi was just his brother and never thought about his notoriety.
“As I was starting to compete in the world championship, this thought crossed my mind. He was coming home on a Monday when I was at home watching the races,” the 25-year-old said. Luca was nothing more than his older brother coming home from work.
Although Valentino is superhuman on the track, he is a passionate big brother at home.
