Scooby Doo Movie Leaked: Animated Film’s Trailer Announced

The news of the Scooby Doo movie leaked online before its official release date.

The highly anticipated Scooby-Doo/DC crossover film Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! will finally see the light of day in an official capacity after all. 

The animated feature will be packed with all the adventures that fans of Mystery Inc. crave for, and it will feature some of the most notorious DC villains, including the Joker, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Giganta, and General Zod.

Following the leak of the Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! in its entirety back in March, many fans were left to wonder if it would ever see the light of day. 

Rumors circulated that Warner Bros. Discovery had canceled the film in order to take a tax write-down on it. 

However, according to the writer of the film, Tim Sheridan, Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! was never canceled, and the internet made up a false story about it being canceled.

Scooby-Doo Movie Leaked online after cancelation

Despite the initial speculation that Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! was canceled, and the movie managed to avoid being lost in the shuffle of many WBD cancellations.

The 78-minute movie was leaked in its entirety on the same day that another Scooby-Doo project, the HBO Max/Cartoonito series Scooby-Doo! and the Mystery Pups, was dropped by the WBD. 

Last year, WBD canceled several projects, including Scoob! Sequel called Holiday Haunt and a new animated movie, Scooby-Doo! and the Haunted High Rise.

Surprisingly, the new addition to the canceled list, Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! managed to elude public attention predominantly.

The Scooby-Doo and DC crossover movie pairs Mystery Inc. with several prominent DC characters, such as Superman’s dog Krypto. 

There is an impressive voice cast lining up for the film, which includes Frank Welker, Grey Griffin, Matthew Lillard, Kate Micucci, Charles Halford, Nolan North, Tara Strong, Fred Tatasciore, James Arnold Taylor, and Niccole Thurman.

As the highly anticipated release of Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too! continues to excite fans, Warner Bros. 

Home Entertainment has just announced that the full trailer for the film is set to be unveiled tomorrow on July 27th. 

This news comes after the film was leaked online earlier this year, which caused widespread speculation about its status. 

However, it has now been confirmed that the animated feature was never actually canceled but was simply undergoing standard post-production work. 

Scooby-Doo and DC Crossovers: A brief history

Scooby-Doo has a long-standing relationship with DC Comics. The first time the gang crossed paths with Batman and Robin was back in the 1970s in the television show The New Scooby-Doo Movies.

More recently, there was the animated film Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold successfully brought the Mystery Inc. crew together with the Caped Crusader. 

Also, many comic book crossovers have occurred between Scooby-Doo and DC characters. 

In addition to these team-ups, some characters from Young Justice even made an appearance in the Scooby-Doo/WWE crossover film Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery.

Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too!: What to expect

While fans are eagerly waiting for the trailer, which will give a better idea of Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too!’s plot, it is expected that the story will focus on Scooby and Krypto’s mission to save the world from the notorious villains of DC. 

With all the fanfare and speculation that preceded this film, it is no surprise that Mystery Inc. fans are eager to see their favorite characters once again face off against villains with special abilities. 

With Frank Welker reprising his iconic role as Fred Jones, the anticipation for Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! continues to grow.

Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too!: The voice cast

The talented voice cast of Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! comprises some of the top voice actors in the entertainment industry. 

Frank Welker, who has been voicing Fred Jones since the beginning of the franchise, returns to his character in this film.

Other notable voice cast members include Grey Griffin, who voices Daphne Blake, and Matthew Lillard, who voices Shaggy Rogers. 

Kate Micucci, who joined the series in 2015 as Velma Dinkley also returns to the role, rounding up the members of Mystery Inc.

Scooby-Doo! And Krypto, Too! is packed with additional voice actors who bring in their own unique styles from other animations. Charles Halford, who fans will recognize from his roles in The Witcher and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., voices Ace the Bat-Hound in this film. 

Nolan North, who is best known for portraying Nathan Drake in the Uncharted video game franchise, voices the Joker. 

Finally, Tara Strong, who is best known for her roles as Twilight Sparkle in My Little Pony
