Bronny James went into cardiac arrest while training at USC on Monday.
LeBron James has confirmed the scare involving his son as he prepares for his first season with the Trojans in a statement to TMZ.
“(On Monday) while practicing, Bronny James went into cardiac arrest,” the James family said.
“Medical staff were able to treat Bronny and get him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and is no longer in intensive care. We ask the James family for respect and confidentiality and will update the media when there is more information.
Bronny was rushed to the hospital after a 911 call was made at 9:26 a.m. from the Galen Center, where he practices at USC.
Bronny, 18, was a four-star recruit after playing at Sierra Canyon High School.
“LeBron and Savannah want to publicly express their deepest thanks and gratitude to the USC athletic and medical staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
