Maya “May” Millete is a Filipino woman; she disappeared on January 7, 2021 in Chula Vista, California. Maya’s investigation is still ongoing.

Additionally, Millete was an employee of the United States Navy and last worked as a contract specialist for the Naval Information Warfare Center.

On January 7, 2023, people last saw her at the family’s house around 5 p.m., and Maya had called a divorce lawyer earlier that day.

Following the photo of the child shared on the social media handle, the children look young to get involved in the media spotlight, which could explain why the family kept them away from Maya’s disappearance case.

On Wednesday, November 10, Judge Julia Craig Kelety granted visitation rights to Maya’s sister; however, the paternal grandparents were allowed to retain custody so the children could continue to attend their current schools.

According to online sources, the children attend schools in Chula Vista and the children also have a court-appointed guardian.

Likewise, in December 2021, Maya’s sister and paternal grandparents filed for guardianship of the children. In January 2022, children were allowed to travel to Riverside County every other weekend.

In October 2022, Larry was also granted permission to communicate with his children in writing. However, Larry was also barred from communicating with his children through in-person and telephone visits.

Maya Millete Family Details

The civilian employee, Maya Millete, was born in the Philippines on May 1, 1981. Also, Maya spent most of her childhood but grew up in Honolulu.

She was the daughter of Pablito and Noemi Tabalanza, and Maya also had five siblings including a sister named Maricris Drouaillet. Other than that, not much has been shared about Maya’s family yet.

Talking about her early career, she graduated from Admiral Arthur W. Radford High School and later attended and graduated from the University of Hawaii at Māno.

Maya Millete’s Husband: Married Life Explored

After Maya Millete disappeared, Larry was suspected to miss him, the couple met in high school, and later they married and Larry served in the United States Navy for five years.

Larry and Maya have three children in San Diego. In late 2020, their relationship went sour and Larry reportedly took control after finding out Maya was having an affair.

At the end of 2020, Maya was working to formalize the separation. One of Maya’s friends shared that he was physically abusing her, worried about their children’s safety.
