Ray Epps is a former military veteran, wedding venue host, and former supporter of President Donald Trump.

After the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, conspiracy theories about Epps’ alleged role as an agent provocateur and his wife’s connection to Dominion Voting Systems were circulated on Twitter and by Fox News personality Tucker Carlson.

He sued Fox News for defamation for their coverage of his role in the Capitol Riot recently.

Some have accused Epps of being a federal agent who incited violence, but he has denied any involvement or affiliation with the government.

Is military veteran Ray Epps arrested on January 6? Where is he now?

Military veteran Ray Epps has never been arrested. Following the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, he was on the FBI’s most wanted list for approximately six months.

However, his photo was removed from the list without explanation. Thus, the military veteran was never arrested. In fact, the former US Marine recently sued Fox News for defamation.

According to the lawsuit, Fox aired a “fantasy story” that Ray Epps was a federal agent for the “scapegoat” of the raid on Congress, the BBC reported.

In January 2021, Mr. Epps was filmed urging others to enter the Capitol complex. Although FBI agents questioned him, he was not charged.

Damages are not specified in the action, which was filed Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in a Delaware court.

Also mentioned is Tucker Carlson, who the network launched earlier this year.

Ray Epps and his wife had to close their

Mr Epps’ lawyer said he and his wife had to close their wedding venue in Arizona and move to a small motorhome in Utah due to the bullying and harassment they faced over conspiracy theories.

Mr. Epps was with Trump supporters near the Capitol the day before and the day of the riot.

He was filmed telling people to come into the building. The crowd shouted, “Fed! Fed!” – hinting that he was a law enforcement officer.

Epps denied having any ties to law enforcement and said he did not go to the Capitol during the riot.

He also admitted to being influenced by his false belief that there had been widespread fraud in the 2020 election and his support for Donald Trump.

He formerly served in the United States Marine Corps. After that, Epps opened a wedding business in Queen Creek, Arizona with his wife, Robyn Epps.

Ray worked as a host for a wedding venue until he had to shut it down and move to a small RV in Utah in May 2022.

He is a family man, adored father of his children. It is not known how many children he has.
