Jub Jub evaded a throng of cameras outside the Johannesburg magistrate’s court after he had been granted bail of R10,000 on Thursday. He had been charged with three counts of rape, two of attempted murder, and one of assault.
Jub Jub, whose real name is Molemo Maarohanye, is a South African hip-hop artist and television presenter. He was born on June 29, 1980, in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Jub Jub gained popularity as a musician in the mid-2000s with the release of his debut album, “Yours Faithfully.” The album was well-received and featured successful tracks such as “Ndikhokhele” and “Good Time of Your Life.”
However, Jub Jub’s career took a significant turn in 2010 when he was involved in a tragic incident. He was convicted of culpable homicide and other charges after a car accident in which he was driving under the influence of drugs, resulting in the death of four schoolchildren and injuries to several others. He was sentenced to prison for his role in the accident.
During his incarceration, Jub Jub’s music career was put on hold. However, after serving his sentence, he made a return to the entertainment industry, including a comeback in music.
